It's the mark of our times: the merging of the Internet with our day-to-day business. The Gold Trail Union School District was among the first school systems in the country to bring that convenience to parents by offering the online payment processing system, PaySchools.
More and more busy people turn to the Internet every month to pay their bills online. Through this system, parents can access PaySchools to pay for school meals online. You may pay by e-check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and new this year, PayPal. The parent will immediately receive an e-mail receipt confirming their purchase(s). From this same portal you also have the ability to pay your student/s transportation fees. In the near future, you will also be able to pay for field trips, sports and many other school products and fees.
How It Works
To access the PaySchools online payment processing system click on the PaySchools logo above. You will need to enter your parent portal username and password. Please call Linda Spies at (530) 626-2595 if you do not know your user name and/or password for the School Dining System (SDS).
You will find a link under your family balance, "Add money to this account through PaySchools." Click on this link and it will take you to the PaySchools website. From here it's easy to follow the directions to make a payment.
The first time you access PaySchools, you will be asked to create a username and password. For security purposes, your School Dining System (SDS) and PaySchools accounts must have two separate usernames and passwords.
After you log in, simply enter the amount you wish to pay, then choose to pay by e-check or credit card. To pay by e-check (directly debiting your bank account) you will enter your bank's ABA routing number and personal bank account number. To make your purchase by credit card, enter the account number and expiration date for your VISA, MasterCard, or Discover credit card. After you complete your purchase, an e-mail confirmation will immediately be sent to you.
PaySchools uses "Secure Sockets Layer" (SSL) software, requires passwords throughout the program, and does not store personal or credit card information to ensure privacy and securtiy for users.
If you have forgotten or lost yourPaySchools username and password, follow the steps to add add money to your account. When asked to enter your password, enter your email address and click on "forgot password." Your PaySchools user name and password will be emailed to you. Gold Trail staff can NOT retrieve your PaySchools information if you forget it.
